Preheat oven to 350°F. Grease a large cookie sheet with sides (12x17 inches).
In a large pan, melt margarine and cocoa with water. Remove from heat and stir in sugar, flour, vanilla, salt, baking soda, eggs, and sour cream.
Pour into the prepared pan and bake for 20 minutes.
While baking, prepare frosting by melting margarine, cocoa, and milk. Bring to a boil, remove from heat, and stir in confectioners’ sugar, vanilla, and nuts.
Pour over the hot cake.
