CRANBERRY TORTE

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F. Grease and flour a Bundt or tube pan.
  2. Sift together flour, sugar, salt, baking powder, and baking soda. Stir in walnuts, dates, cranberries, and orange rind.
  3. Combine eggs, oil, and orange juice in a separate bowl. Blend well and add to the dry ingredients.
  4. Pour batter into the prepared pan and bake for 1 hour.
  5. While slightly warm, pour topping of sugar and orange juice over the cake. Allow to soak.
  6. Cover with foil and refrigerate. Serve with whipped cream.
