Instructions:

  1. Cream lard and brown sugar.
  2. Sift together flour, soda, and salt; add to the creamed mixture.
  3. Add eggs and nuts, mixing thoroughly.
  4. Form into a loaf and chill overnight.
  5. Slice and bake on a greased pan at 375°F for 8–10 minutes.
