PEANUT BLOSSOMS

Instructions:

  1. Cream shortening and peanut butter. Gradually add sugars; mix well.
  2. Add egg, milk, and vanilla; beat well.
  3. Gradually blend in dry ingredients.
  4. Shape dough into small balls and roll in sugar. Place on ungreased cookie sheet.
  5. Bake at 375°F for 8 minutes.
  6. Remove from oven and place a candy kiss on each cookie, pressing down to crack the edges.
  7. Return to the oven and bake for 2–5 minutes.
