PUMPKIN COOKIES

Instructions:

  1. Cream shortening, sugar, and pumpkin. Add egg and mix well.
  2. Sift together dry ingredients and mix into wet mixture. Add raisins.
  3. Drop by spoonful onto cookie sheets. Bake at 375°F for 10–12 minutes.
  4. For frosting, cook butter, milk, and brown sugar until dissolved. Cool, then add powdered sugar and vanilla. Spread on warm cookies.
