Instructions:

  1. Cream butter, confectioners' sugar, and vanilla.
  2. Sift together flour and salt. Gradually blend into butter mixture.
  3. Mix in nuts. Chill dough.
  4. Roll into 1-inch balls and place on greased baking sheets.
  5. Bake at 400°F for 10–12 minutes. Roll in powdered sugar while warm.
