BUTTERSCOTCH CHEESECAKE SQUARES

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (325°F for glass dishes).
  2. Melt butterscotch morsels and butter in a saucepan.
  3. Stir in graham cracker crumbs and nuts. Press half the mixture into the bottom of a greased 13x9-inch pan.
  4. Beat cream cheese until fluffy. Blend in sweetened condensed milk, egg, and vanilla. Pour over crumb crust.
  5. Top with remaining crumb mixture.
  6. Bake for 25–30 minutes or until a toothpick inserted near the center comes out clean.
  7. Cool to room temperature, then chill before cutting into bars.
