CARAMEL LAYER CHOCO SQUARES

  1. Melt caramels and 1/3 cup evaporated milk over low heat, stirring constantly.
  2. Preheat oven to 350°F. Grease and flour a 13x9-inch baking pan.
  3. Combine cake mix, butter, 1/3 cup evaporated milk, and nuts in a mixing bowl. Stir until dough holds together.
  4. Press half the dough into the prepared pan and bake for 6 minutes.
  5. Sprinkle chocolate chips over the baked crust. Spread caramel mixture on top.
  6. Crumble the reserved dough over the caramel.
  7. Bake for 15–18 minutes. Cool slightly, refrigerate for 30 minutes, then cut into bars.
