COOKIE PIE

Ingredients:

• 1 cup chocolate chips
• 3 eggs, separated
• 1 teaspoon vanilla
• 1 pound vanilla wafers, crushed
• 3 tablespoons water
• 1 cup powdered sugar
• 1 pint whipping cream
• 1 cup chopped nuts

Instructions:

1. Melt chocolate chips. Add beaten egg yolks and cook until thickened. Add vanilla and cool.
2. Stir in water and powdered sugar.
3. Whip cream and fold into the chocolate mixture. Add beaten egg whites and nuts.
4. Layer crumbs and chocolate mixture in a 9x13-inch pan, finishing with crumbs on top.
5. Press down the top layer. Chill for 2 hours or until set.
