CHOCOLATE FUDGE

Instructions:

  1. Mix sugar and cocoa in a saucepan. Add milk and bring to a boil.
  2. Cook until the mixture reaches the soft ball stage (test in cold water).
  3. Remove from heat and stir in butter until well mixed.
  4. Place the pan in cold water and beat the mixture until cool. Add vanilla and nuts, if desired.
  5. Pour into a buttered pan before it hardens.
