BETTER BURGERS

Instructions:

  1. Brown ground beef in hot fat. Add salt and Basic Red Sauce. Cover and simmer for 10 minutes.
  2. Serve on split and toasted hamburger buns. Makes 4–6 servings.
  3. To prepare Basic Red Sauce:
  4. Sauté onion in hot oil until soft and golden.
  5. Add remaining ingredients and simmer for 15 minutes. Cool and store in refrigerator or freezer. Makes about 1 quart.
