PECAN BREAD

Instructions:

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F.
  2. In a large bowl, mix together flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
  3. In a small bowl, combine vinegar or lemon juice and milk; let stand for a few minutes.
  4. Add liquid brown sugar, egg, butter, and vanilla; beat until combined.
  5. Add liquid ingredients to dry ingredients; stir until thoroughly mixed.
  6. Add pecans and stir until well distributed.
  7. Turn into a greased 9 x 5 x 3 inch loaf pan. Bake for 50 minutes or until a cake tester inserted in the center comes out clean.
  8. Cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then remove and cool on a wire rack.
