AMERICAN CHOP SUEY

Instructions:

  1. Cut the meats into very small pieces.
  2. Brown the meat in a large pot with a little oil or margarine. Lightly salt and add 1 tablespoon sugar.
  3. When the meat is well browned, add diced celery and onions. Simmer for about 30 minutes.
  4. Add mushrooms, bean sprouts, pimentos, and soy sauce. Cover with about 3 cups of water.
  5. Cook for about 2 hours or until the meat is tender.
  6. Thicken with a little flour, if desired. Serve with cooked rice or Chow Mein noodles.
