DATE NUT ROLL

Ingredients:

• 1 3/4 cups graham cracker crumbs (reserve 1/4 cup for coating)
• 1/4 pound marshmallows
• 1 1/2 cups dates, cut into small pieces
• 1/2 cup chopped nuts
• 3 tablespoons maraschino cherry juice
• 2 tablespoons milk or cream
• 1/4 cup chopped maraschino cherries

Instructions:

1. In a bowl, combine all ingredients and mix well.
2. Roll the mixture into the shape of a log, then roll into the reserved crumbs on all sides.
3. Wrap in wax paper and chill.
4. Top with cherries and candy mint leaves.
5. Cut into slices and serve with whipped cream, if desired.
