BELGIAN BEEF BALLS

Instructions:

  1. Mix ground beef with bread crumbs and 1/2 cup beef broth. Shape into meatballs.
  2. Roll meatballs in flour and sauté in oil until richly browned; remove from pan.
  3. Pour off all drippings except 2 tbsp. Add onions and sauté until soft.
  4. Add remaining broth, beer, and spices. Simmer for 5 minutes.
  5. Blend 2 tbsp. flour and water to a paste and stir into the sauce. Simmer until thickened.
  6. Return meatballs to the gravy, cover, and simmer for 10 minutes. Serve over noodles.
