Instructions:

  1. Preheat the oven to 250°F.
  2. In a casserole dish, combine stew meat, beef consommé, wine, onion salt, and bay leaf.
  3. Sprinkle bread crumbs on top.
  4. Cover tightly and bake for 6 hours.
  5. Add mushrooms 1/2 hour before done, if desired.
  6. Serve over rice or noodles.
