  1. Combine soy sauce, onion, garlic, sugar, ginger, and sake or wine to make a marinade.
  2. Pour marinade over sliced meat, cover, and let sit at room temperature for 2-3 hours or overnight in the refrigerator.
  3. Drain meat thoroughly, reserving marinade.
  4. Heat oil in a Wok to 375°F. Stir-fry half the steak for 2 minutes or until tender, push up the sides, and repeat with remaining meat.
  5. Reduce heat to warm, add reserved marinade as sauce, and serve over rice, noodles, or English muffins.
