STUFFED BAKED PORK CHOPS

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F.
  2. In a skillet, fry the onions and celery in drippings until tender.
  3. Combine the bread cubes, ½ tsp. salt, pepper, sage, poultry seasoning, and broth. Mix lightly.
  4. Cut a pocket to the bone on the side of each chop. Stuff the pocket with the dressing mixture and fasten with a toothpick.
  5. Season the chops and brown them in a heavy skillet.
  6. Add ¼ cup water to the skillet. Cover and bake in a moderate oven at 350°F for about 50 minutes.
