4 cups frozen sweet cherries, thawed and coarsely chopped
1 orange, seeded and ground
2 cups water
4 cups granulated sugar
1 cup chopped pecans
1 cup seedless raisins
3 oz. pouch liquid pectin
Instructions:
Wash and rinse canning jars and bands. Prepare lids according to manufacturer’s directions.
Combine cranberries, cherries, orange, and water in a large saucepan. Simmer over medium heat for 5 minutes, stirring occasionally.
Add sugar, pecans, and raisins. Bring to a full, rolling boil. Boil hard for 1 minute, stirring frequently. Remove from heat and stir in liquid pectin.
Carefully pour hot conserve into hot jelly jars, leaving ¼ inch headspace. Wipe jar rims clean. Adjust lids and screw bands.
Process closed jars for 15 minutes in a boiling water bath.
Yield: about 6 (12 oz.) jars.
