APPLESAUCE SPICE CAKE

Ingredients:

• 1/2 cup butter or margarine
• 1 cup sugar
• 2 eggs, beaten
• 1/2 cup chopped nuts
• 1 cup chopped raisins
• 2 cups flour
• 1 tsp. baking soda
• 1/2 tsp. nutmeg
• 1 tsp. cloves
• 1 tsp. cinnamon
• 1 cup unsweetened applesauce

Instructions:

1. Cream together butter and sugar.
2. Add eggs, nuts, and raisins, mixing thoroughly.
3. Add dry ingredients alternately with applesauce, beating well after each addition.
4. Pour into a greased loaf pan and bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour.
5. No icing is needed.
