BROWN TORTE CAKE

Ingredients:

• 1 stick butter
• 2 egg yolks
• 2 cups flour
• 1 cup sour milk
• 1 tsp. cocoa
• 1 tsp. baking soda

Topping:

• 2 egg whites
• 1 tsp. cinnamon
• 1 cup brown sugar

Instructions:

1. Mix together 1 stick of butter, then add 2 egg yolks.
2. Add flour, sour milk, cocoa, and baking soda; mix well. Pour into a 9 x 11-inch pan.
3. Beat the egg whites until foamy. Gradually add brown sugar and spoon on top of the first mixture.
4. Add nuts or coconut on top if desired.
5. Bake at 350 degrees for 30 minutes.
