HOLIDAY SHOW CAKE

Ingredients:

• 2 (16 oz.) pkg. pound cake mix
• 4 eggs
• 1 1/2 cups applesauce
• 1/2 cup powdered sugar
• 1/2 tsp. salt
• 2 Tbsp. lemon juice
• Marzipan fruits for decoration

Instructions:

1. Place cake mix in a large bowl. Add eggs and stir to blend.
2. Beat using an electric mixer for about 1 minute. Gradually add applesauce and continue beating for about 3 minutes.
3. Pour batter into a well-greased 10-inch tube pan.
4. Bake at 325 degrees for 1 1/2 hours.
5. Cool the cake. Combine powdered sugar, salt, and enough lemon juice to make a smooth drizzle; pour over the top and sides.
6. Decorate with marzipan fruits.
