CRISP BUTTER COOKIES

Instructions:

  1. Cream butter, sugar, and salt; add the beaten egg and mix well.
  2. Fold in flour and baking soda until the dough is well mixed.
  3. Make into long rolls and refrigerate until thoroughly chilled.
  4. Slice thin and place on a cookie sheet.
  5. Bake at 400 degrees for about 8 minutes.
  6. Yield: About 3 dozen.
