FENNEL CHEWS

Instructions:

  1. Beat butter, brown sugar, and egg thoroughly.
  2. Add vanilla, fennel seeds, and walnuts; mix well.
  3. Add sifted dry ingredients and mix until combined.
  4. Distribute dough in a greased 8 x 8 inch pan.
  5. Bake at 350 degrees for about 20 minutes.
  6. Cool on a rack for 5 minutes, then turn out and cut into squares.
