  1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees.
  2. Combine flour, baking soda, and salt in a small bowl; set aside.
  3. In a large bowl, beat butter, sugars, and vanilla extract until creamy.
  4. Beat in eggs one at a time.
  5. Gradually add flour mixture; mix well.
  6. Stir in chocolate chips and nuts.
  7. Drop by rounded teaspoonfuls onto ungreased cookie sheets.
  8. Bake for 8–10 minutes. Makes about 100 cookies.
