ALMOND TOFFEE

Ingredients:

Instructions:

  1. Warm 1 c. almonds in the oven at 175°F.
  2. Heat sugar, water, and Karo syrup over medium heat, washing down sugar crystals as needed.
  3. Stir in margarine and cook to 290°F.
  4. Remove from heat, stir in salt, baking soda, and warmed almonds.
  5. Pour onto a greased baking sheet, spreading evenly.
  6. Let cool before breaking apart and dipping in chocolate and additional almonds.
