PEAR BREAD

Instructions:

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F.
  2. Cream together oleo and sugar, then add eggs and beat well.
  3. In a separate bowl, combine flour, salt, baking powder, and nutmeg.
  4. Add the egg mixture alternately with buttermilk to the dry ingredients.
  5. Stir in pears and vanilla.
  6. Pour into a greased 9x5x3 inch loaf pan.
  7. Bake for 1 hour or until done.
