BUTTERMILK BRAN MUFFINS

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F.
  2. Cream together shortening, sugar, and eggs.
  3. Stir in buttermilk and water.
  4. Add flour, baking soda, salt, and bran. Stir only until moistened.
  5. Spoon batter into greased muffin cups, filling ⅔ full.
  6. Bake for 20-25 minutes. Makes 5 dozen.
