DOUGHNUT MUFFINS

Instructions:

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F.
  2. Cream together shortening, sugar, and egg.
  3. Sift together flour, baking powder, salt, and nutmeg.
  4. Add dry ingredients to the egg mixture, alternating with milk, and mix well.
  5. Fill greased muffin tins ⅔ full.
  6. Bake for 20-30 minutes until golden brown.
  7. Roll each muffin in melted oleo and then in cinnamon-sugar mixture. Makes 12 muffins.
