BIRTHDAY CAKE

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F and grease layer pans.
  2. Cream together Crisco and sugar, then add eggs, beating well.
  3. Gradually add sifted dry ingredients alternately with the milk, mixing well after each addition.
  4. Pour batter into greased pans and bake for 25 minutes or until done.
  5. Cool before frosting.

  8. Ingredients:
  9. 4 tbsp Flour (heaping)
  10. 1 cup Milk
  11. ½ cup Oleo
  12. ½ cup Crisco
  13. 1 cup Sugar (or powdered sugar)
  14. 2 tsp Vanilla
  15. Instructions:
  16. Mix flour and milk in a saucepan, cook over low heat until thick. Remove from heat and cool.
  17. Cream oleo and Crisco for 4 minutes with an electric mixer.
  18. Gradually add sugar and beat for 4 minutes.
  19. Add cooled flour paste and beat for another 4 minutes. Add vanilla and blend.
  20. Spread over the cake.
