OATMEAL GINGER COOKIES

Instructions:

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F.
  2. Sift together flour, baking powder, soda, salt, and spices.
  3. Add shortening, sugar, egg, molasses, and water. Beat until smooth (about 2 minutes).
  4. Stir in oats.
  5. Drop by tablespoon onto greased cookie sheet.
  6. Bake for 12-15 minutes. Makes 3 dozen. Frost with confectioner’s sugar icing if desired.
