PEANUT TOFFEE DIAMONDS

Instructions:

  1. Preheat oven to 325°F.
  2. Cream butter and ½ cup peanut butter, gradually adding sugar. Beat in egg and vanilla.
  3. Blend in salt and flour. Pat the mixture into a greased 15x10x1 inch pan.
  4. Bake for 25 minutes.
  5. Combine melted chocolate and ½ cup peanut butter, then spread over the hot surface.
  6. Cut into diamonds while warm, and place a peanut in the center of each diamond. Makes about 4 dozen.
