ORANGE TEA BISCUITS

Instructions:

  1. Preheat oven to 450°F (232°C).
  2. Sift together flour, baking powder, and salt.
  3. Fold in lard and orange rind.
  4. Gradually add water until a soft dough forms.
  5. Roll out dough on a floured surface and cut with a small biscuit cutter.
  6. Place a piece of loaf sugar dipped in orange juice in the center of each biscuit.
  7. Bake for 15 minutes.
