  1. Dissolve yeast in lukewarm water.
  2. Scald milk and add to the yeast along with shortening, honey, mashed potatoes, and salt.
  3. Blend well and cool to lukewarm.
  4. Add well-beaten eggs and enough flour to make a soft dough.
  5. Knead for 10 minutes and form into small balls.
  6. Place three balls in each greased muffin pan.
  7. Let rise until doubled in size.
  8. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C) and bake for 10 to 15 minutes.
