OATMEAL NUT BREAD

Instructions:

  1. Pour hot water over oatmeal and let stand until cool.
  2. Add yeast and butter to the cooled milk.
  3. Combine the oatmeal mixture with the milk mixture.
  4. Add graham flour, chopped nuts, chopped raisins, dark brown sugar, and salt. Mix until combined.
  5. Let stand in a covered bowl until light and bubbly.
  6. Add enough flour to make a stiff dough.
  7. Divide into loaves and place in greased pans. Let rise in a warm place until doubled in size.
  8. Bake at 350°F (175°C) for 1 hour.
