  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Cream butter and sugar. Add eggs, vanilla, and sour milk.
  3. Sift together flour, baking soda, baking powder, and salt. Gradually add to the creamed mixture.
  4. Stir in nuts, orange rind, and ground raisins.
  5. Bake in a greased baking pan for 40 minutes.
  6. For the icing, mix orange juice and sugar. Pour over the cake while hot.
