SPICY CUP CAKES

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a muffin tin with cupcake liners.
  2. Cream shortening and sugar together. Add egg and mix well.
  3. Sift together flour, cinnamon, cloves, nutmeg, baking soda, and salt.
  4. Alternately add dry ingredients and sour cream to the creamed mixture, beginning and ending with dry ingredients. Stir in vanilla.
  5. Toss raisins with a little flour to coat and fold them into the batter.
  6. Fill muffin cups half full and bake for 20 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
