  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease an 8x8-inch pan.
  2. Pour hot water over ground side pork to soften.
  3. Cream sugar, molasses, and eggs. Mix in softened pork.
  4. Sift flour with baking powder, cinnamon, nutmeg, allspice, and mace.
  5. Gradually add dry ingredients to the wet mixture.
  6. Stir in raisins and citrus peels.
  7. Bake for about 1 hour or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
  8. Serve warm or at room temperature.
