  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Mix oats, sugar, and flour in a large bowl.
  3. Stir in melted butter.
  4. Dissolve baking soda in boiling water and add to the oat mixture; blend well.
  5. Form dough into a roll, wrap in wax paper, and chill thoroughly.
  6. Slice dough thinly and place slices on a greased baking sheet.
  7. Bake for 5 to 10 minutes or until the edges are golden brown.
