ICE BOX COOKIES

Ingredients:

• 1 cup brown sugar
• 1 cup white sugar
• 3 eggs, beaten
• 3/4 cups shortening
• 2 teaspoons soda dissolved in a little hot water
• 1/4 teaspoon cloves
• 1/4 teaspoon cinnamon
• 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg
• 1 teaspoon salt
• Flour (enough to roll)

Instructions:

1. Mix all ingredients and chill overnight in the refrigerator.
2. Slice and bake the next day.
