BUTTER COOKIES

Ingredients:

• 1 lb butter
• 1 cup brown or white sugar
• 1 egg
• 1 teaspoon cream of tartar
• 1 teaspoon soda
• 2-3 cups flour

Instructions:

1. Mix ingredients to form a dough.
2. Roll into balls and flatten with a fork.
3. Bake in a preheated oven until set.
