PEPPER NUT COOKIES

Ingredients:

• 2 cups sugar
• 1 cup syrup
• 1 cup molasses
• 1 cup butter
• 1 cup lard
• 2 eggs
• 2 teaspoons anise
• 2 teaspoons ginger
• 2 teaspoons soda dissolved in sour milk

Instructions:

1. Boil syrup, molasses, butter, and lard together.
2. Cool and mix all ingredients together.
3. Knead well and shape with hands.
4. Bake in a preheated oven until set.
