OLD FASHIONED BROWN COOKIES

Ingredients:

• 1 cup lard
• 2 cups sugar
• 2 eggs
• 1 cup molasses
• 1/4 teaspoon ginger
• 1/4 teaspoon cinnamon
• 3 teaspoons soda
• Salt
• 9 tablespoons hot water
• Flour (enough to make a soft dough, about 3 3/4 cups)

Instructions:

1. Mix all ingredients to form a soft dough.
2. Roll out and cut with a cookie cutter.
3. Bake as directed.
