BUTTERSCOTCH COOKIES

Ingredients:

• 2 eggs
• 1 cup butter
• 2 cups brown sugar
• 3 tablespoons hot water
• 1 teaspoon each of soda, ginger, lemon, vanilla, and cream of tartar
• 4 cups flour

Instructions:

1. Cream butter and sugar, add eggs, and beat well.
2. Mix in the remaining ingredients. Chill the dough.
3. Form into small balls, flatten with a fork, and bake as directed.
