GINGER COOKIES

Ingredients:

• 1 cup sugar
• 1 cup shortening
• 1 egg
• 1 cup molasses
• 1 tablespoon ginger
• 1 tablespoon soda (dissolved in 3 tablespoons of hot water)
• 4 cups flour

Instructions:

1. Mix in the order given.
2. Bake as directed.
