PEANUT ICE BOX COOKIES

Ingredients:

• 1 cup white sugar
• 1 cup brown sugar
• 1 cup shortening
• 3 3/4 cups flour
• 1 cup ground nuts
• 2 eggs, beaten
• 1 level teaspoon soda (in 1/4 cup hot water)

Instructions:

1. Mix into two rolls and let stand overnight in a cool place.
2. Slice and bake as directed.
