ANGEL PIE

Instructions:

  1. Beat egg whites until stiff. Add cream of tartar and sugar, and beat well.
  2. Place the meringue mixture in a greased Pyrex pie plate and bake at 250°F for 1 hour. Cool for 10 minutes.
  3. Cook filling ingredients until clear, then cool.
  4. Spread the cooled filling on top of the meringue, top with 1 cup whipped cream, and refrigerate for 24 hours.
