ICE BOX DESSERT

Instructions:

  1. Cream butter and powdered sugar. Add eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition.
  2. Crumb the vanilla wafers and lay half in the bottom of a loaf pan.
  3. Spread the creamed mixture over the crumbs.
  4. Whip the cream, add cherries and nuts, and spread over the creamed mixture.
  5. Top with the remaining crumbs.
  6. Chill and serve.
