STRAWBERRY MERINGUE

Instructions:

  1. Beat egg whites until stiff. Gradually add sugar, vanilla, almond flavoring, and cream of tartar.
  2. Pile into a pie tin lined with waxed paper.
  3. Bake in a slow oven for 35 minutes.
  4. Remove from paper while hot, return to the tin, and serve with whipped cream mixed with strawberries.
