SANDBAKKELSE

Ingredients:

• ½ cup white sugar
• Lard (size of an egg)
• Butter (enough to fill up the cup with lard)
• 1 egg (unbeaten)
• Cardamom or vanilla to taste
• Flour (enough to handle easily)

Instructions:

1. Cream sugar, lard, and butter together.
2. Add the unbeaten egg and flavoring. Mix well.
3. Gradually add flour until the dough is easy to handle.
4. Press into sandbakkel tins.
5. Bake at 350°F until light golden brown.
